    Singaporean companies exposed to strengthen cooperation in the sectors of oil and the development of industrial infrastructure


      Member of the Board of Directors of the East Chamber Abdullah Ali almajdouie said Singaporean products took an important part in the Saudi market, adding that this was due to the strong trade ties between the two countries. Almajdouie said the Chamber by hosting for Singapore trade delegation Wednesday 8 January 2014 in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Chamber Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al-WABIL, and head of the delegation, Ted Tan, Eng. Mohamed Omran (Second Secretary) that have significant business ties with Singapore, saying that there was a possibility of further strengthening trade and economic relations between the two countries and stressed the importance of exchange visits for more trade missions that will benefit companies in the two countries. During the meeting, Al majdouie which included 20 Singaporean companies and a number of businessmen that-according to the official statistics of imports from Singapore to about 4 billion while exports to Singapore stood at 53.6 billion.

    Ted said that the delegation representing a number of prominent Singapore companies involved in oil and gas services and infrastructure development. Noting that many Singapore companies have recorded significant commercial activity in the Kingdom, provide expertise and services principally in the areas of urban development, infrastructure and energy, airports and seaports, as well as other companies in the market through their participation in the development of various projects. Imran said that Singapore is interested in increasing trade between the two regions and promote investment opportunities and trade exchanges, joint business councils will contribute to strengthening cooperation and ways to new heights, especially in financial services, insurance, investment, health and education.
    Imran said that Singapore companies have the technology and expertise necessary to provide services to onshore and offshore oil and gas industries, adding that Singapore has gained an international reputation through excellence in marine industries, shipbuilding and oil platforms on a global level of technology and equipment, he said that a number of companies interested in establishing business relations with their counterparts in the region. In conclusion, the Chamber Board Member Abdullah Ali almajdouie, honored Ted Tan Memorial shield.
